Rockaway Quarry Land Use Planning

As Design Consultant and main liaison between UC Berkeley and the City of Pacifica, A+D, Architecture+Design advised a group of Latino students on an independent project to analyze possible land uses and create an urban master plan and design guidelines for 113 acres of coastal land. We worked very closely with community residents, local businesses and city officials for six consecutive months. The project was finally approved by the city Council and adopted by the Planning Department of the City of Pacifica. All of the process documentation was exhibited at UC Berkeley at Wurster Hall to great reviews.

Client: City of Pacifica
